To ensure a pleasant temperature in the shop during the cold winter months, a gas boiler was chosen as the heat source, which heats the water for the underfloor heating system. The underfloor heating manifolds were fitted with actuators which are intelligent automated by Loxone, depending on the individual room temperature.
In the summer months, the building is cooled using four air conditioners units. Each unit is integrated into the Loxone system via KNX, which allows each zone to be controlled separately but from one system – rather than having to adjust multiple air conditioning controllers. Which means that these remotes are now gathering dust on a shelf somewhere.
The fully automatic ventilation mode is regulated by carbon dioxide sensors located on each floor. This guarantees an immediate supply of fresh air to the individual parts of the coffee shop, if necessary.“
